Major Adulting: How I have been coping with Anxiety in Lock-Down (and onwards)

Now I’m going to spill some not-so-sweet tea… just before the lock-down my anxiety hit a spike after months of burying it, and I ended up having to sign myself off work due to stress. It’s not been pretty, but that’s the truth of it. Since then I’ve been phasing back and, more importantly, feeling a lot better. Here’s a few ways that I have been coping with anxiety and stress since then; I hope you find them useful.

Theatre Review: A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness is one of my favourite books, so when I was invited to the Belgrade Theatre to watch an on stage adaptation, I practically snatched their hands off! Never mind the pressure of performing in front of hundreds of other people every night, I don’t think the crew realised what pressure they were under having to impress me. The standards were going to have to be very high indeed…

Adult life is so hard, huh? Often when you want to reconnect with your friends, you compare calendars and there’s that all too familiar scenario… “How does the 5th sound?” “I’m out that day what about the 7th?” “Oh, I can’t do that… 9th?” “Busy then… Erm…”

That’s why when the fantastic team over at giffgaff gifted me a games night kit and challenged me to host a games night, I thought it’d be a fantastic way to reconnect my friends as a group. We’d not spent any time together for so long and it seemed like the perfect excuse!
