WHERE TO BEGIN?! I had an absolutely excellent time (no I shan’t be using any egg based puns) at the Gudetama themed cafe in Brighton! It was so cute that I just couldn’t keep the smile off my face every time something new came to the table.
Here’s why I’d highly recommend it!
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness is one of my favourite books, so when I was invited to the Belgrade Theatre to watch an on stage adaptation, I practically snatched their hands off! Never mind the pressure of performing in front of hundreds of other people every night, I don’t think the crew realised what pressure they were under having to impress me. The standards were going to have to be very high indeed…
Something that many people don’t know about me is that I am low-key obsessed with weddings. I don’t really know if I’ll get married myself but it doesn’t stop me being 100% into other people celebrating their love, and helping create a perfect happy day for someone I care for is my jam. So when one of my best friends invited me to Rock n Roll Bride Live, I just had to say YES!
I had the good fortune to meet Katie from Serpentile, who makes beautiful D&D dragon statement pieces, through the magic of social media. She approached me first to support me as she’d seen by my body confidence blog post and it struck a chord with her… and after seeing her beautiful D&D themed creations I just had to follow and support her right back!

I first heard that Nerdy Coffee Co were opening a board game cafe in Shrewsbury, when I visited for a friend’s wedding. I had the good fortune of meeting the owners there and chatted about how exciting it was that they were opening soon.
So after my friends made their vows, I made one of my own – one day, I’d visit that board game cafe with the happy couple! And we did.
